Dr. Ashfaq is very knowledgeable doctor with strong empathy, clear communication and committed to patients well-being and recovery. He will ask you your expected outcome & lifestyle after recovery, based on it he will suggest conservative or invasive method for recovery. He explains pros & cons of both so that we can take informed decision. He performed my acl avulsion surgery. It was quite smooth and good recovery with no infection or complication post surgery. He guided me well for dos n donts post surgery. Also, periodically examined for improvement and faster recovery.Posted on Google![]()

Highly recommend Dr. Ishfaq Kanjwala. He is an excellent doctor, very professional, understanding, and easy to communicate with. He explains everything clearly and makes you feel comfortable and confident. My husband had his shoulder surgery with him, and the whole experience was excellent. The surgery went very smoothly with no complications, and his recovery was surprisingly quick. We are extremely happy with the results and truly grateful for Dr. Ishfaq’s care and support throughout the whole process. Definitely one of the best doctors we have dealt with.Posted on Google![]()

Dr. Ashfaq Konchwalla has been wonderful to work with. He's professional, friendly, and efficient - he takes the time to listen carefully and explains things clearly, which makes every visit reassuring. He works fast, but never rushes - if you need extra time to ask questions or talk through a concern, he gives it to you. His empathetic and communicative approach really puts patients at ease. The staff are just as impressive - responsive and attentive to every request. A special mention to Gen, whose assistance was fast, kind, and caring during a time I needed quick help. I'm truly grateful to have found a practice that combines this level of medical expertise with such warmth and efficiency. Highly recommend Dr. Konchwalla and his team to anyone looking for compassionate, reliable care.Posted on Google![]()

Just wanted to share a quick update on my knee recovery! I had a meniscus and PCL repair done by Dr. Mohammad Ashfaq Konchwalla, and honestly the surgery went really well. Since then I've been doing physio with Therapist Bishoy in medcare physio and rehab center, and I can't recommend him enough he's been an amazing therapist throughout this whole process. The progress has honestly surprised me. By week 8 I was walking completely without crutches, and now at week 10 I'm doing full squats on the TRX with no issues. It's been a solid recovery overall, and I'm feeling so much better than I did before the surgery. Really grateful for the care I've gotten along the way!Posted on Google![]()

I’m very thankful to Dr. Ashfaq for taking care of me throughout my hip treatment. From the initial consultation before surgery to the follow-up care after surgery he was always patient and supportive. I underwent hip arthroscopy with stem cell therapy under his care, and my recovery was very smooth.I was able to walk without crutches within 7–10 days which gave me a lot of confidence during my recovery. His guidance and follow-up care made the entire journey much easier and I’m genuinely grateful to Dr.Ashfaq for his expertise, care, and continued support.I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a hip surgeriesPosted on Google![]()

The doctor didn’t examine my issue properly and, unfortunately, came across as scripted and dismissive. I have visited him multiple times, yet he kept dismissing my pain and completely missed the actual diagnosis. I went for physiotherapy as instructed by him, but the physiotherapist ended up doing the wrong treatment and greatly aggravated my pain. I later went back to him and he told me that the physiotherapist had made a mistake and shouldn’t have done that. But aren’t they supposed to be under his supervision? Why was there no coordination? He simply blamed the physiotherapist. No apology, no investigation, no accountability or even a slight concern after messing with someone’s life. After going back to him, he made me undergo an MRI, which took a great deal of discomfort for me, only for him not to explain the findings thoroughly or properly. He was not kind enough to explain what the findings actually meant. It was very disheartening to see that he had no genuine interest in helping. He simply dismissed my chronic pain as “muscle spasm,” just because he is unable and not willing to identify the cause of my pain. Just a very scripted person, to the point we can predict what he will say. Modern doctors seem to be educated to assess only major fractures or injuries, but not necessarily long-term chronic issues. He seemed to assume that everything would be visible on an MRI or X-ray and that if nothing major showed up, there was no issue — while the patient is the one actually experiencing the pain and misery. What’s amazing is, sometimes if you are lucky, you will find that traditional medicine practitioners can most of the time identify issues better without relying on MRI or X-rays, simply through careful manual examination and assessment of the body. Thankfully, another doctor was able to identify my issue and has been much more humane and compassionate, genuinely guiding me out of my pain and providing the help I needed. Dr. Ashfaq may be great for only major injuries or surgeries, but unfortunately not interested in healing long-term chronic pains.Posted on Google![]()

Had a great experience with Dr. Ashfaq throughout my ACL and meniscus repair. The recovery has been excellent, and within just two and a half months, I’ve already started jogging and running. The assistant was also extremely proactive and helpful, and getting appointments with the doctor was never a hassle. Overall, a very positive experience.Posted on Google![]()

Dr Ashfaq is a consummate professional - he made me feel relaxed, was clear and factual about my options and provided me with the clarity and confidence to decide on keyhole surgery to repair my ankle ligament tear. The surgery was a resounding success and my post-op recovery went exactly as Dr Ashfaq said it would. After just 6 weeks I was on my feet and by the 6th month I was wearing my heels again!Posted on Google![]()

I do not recommend Dr. Ashfaq Konchwalla based on my personal experience. After my surgery, I repeatedly informed him and his team that I was experiencing severe calf pain and numbness in my leg. I was repeatedly told that these symptoms were normal after the operation. On the second day after I returned home, I was diagnosed with two blood clots. Before receiving treatment, I first went to Medcare Orthopaedics & Spine, where my surgery had been performed, but I was not accepted as an emergency case. I was then advised to go to Medcare Al Safa. When I arrived there, I was also not accepted for emergency treatment. I eventually went to Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital, where I received the urgent medical care I needed. I immediately informed Dr. Konchwalla’s team about my condition, but Dr. Konchwalla did not contact me until later that afternoon, and only after I said I was considering reporting the matter to the Ministry of Health. What disappointed me the most was not only the outcome, but the lack of urgency, communication, and compassion. I felt that my concerns were dismissed when they should have been taken seriously. This review reflects my personal experience, and based on that experience, I cannot recommend Dr. Konchwalla.Posted on Google![]()

I had a massive rotator cuff tear confirmed on MRI and consulted Dr. Ashpaq Konchwala. His confidence, experience, and reassuring approach gave me the trust to proceed with the surgery without any fear. The surgery was a great success. With physiotherapy, I noticed significant improvement by 8 weeks, and by 12 weeks, I had regained full, pain-free shoulder movement. Dr. Ashpaq is an exceptional orthopedic surgeon, and my experience at Medcare Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital, Dubai, was outstanding. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking expert care for shoulder injuries.
